COUNTER SURVEILLANCE - DEBUGGING & BUG SWEEPS
There may come a time when you suspect that your privacy is being invaded, private or classified information that only you and trusted individuals should know about becomes public. This could be a threat, not only for businesses but for many other security reasons.
How is this possible?
There are literally many ways in which sensitive or confidential information can be obtained if someone wants it badly enough. With such easy access to covert listening/audio devices and video capturing devices there will always be a threat to your security.
Our engineers are highly skilled and trained individuals who have operated on behalf of many high profile individuals and organisations.
Countering Invasion of Privacy & Economic and Industrial Espionage
Methodology
The equipment that would be deployed within your premises to detect Covert Recording /Listening Devices or otherwise known as ‘Bugs’, consists of professionally specified laboratory grade ‘Radio Spectrum Analyzers’ backed up by military grade hand held Radio Frequency Near Field Scanners.
A high grade computer based dynamic, full spectrum, radio scanning system is used to intercept record and demodulate [convert to audio] any suspicious transmissions detected by the Spectrum Analyzers.
A NLJD –Non Linear Junction Detector will be deployed should there be any indication of passive devices buried in walls or inaccessible locations.
All of this equipment is of the highest grade and specification and requires a high degree of technical skill to operate.
Each area is swept using the above equipment coupled with an ultra sensitive high gain active antenna system, which will reveal all radio transmissions down to an extremely low level that may emanate from within your premises and the surrounding buildings. All transmissions are noted and commercial stations eliminated. The nominated rooms are then physically searched for hard wired devices as described later on hand scanned using wide spectrum military grade detectors tuned to the detected transmissions not accounted for in the first step.
By default due to the high sensitivity of the detection equipment, the local area including buildings in the near vicinity is also included but potential covert transmissions are ignored unless associated with your premises.
A physical search of the target area is the root of all Counter Surveillance Operations, whether the target is commercial, residential or a vehicle. A physical search may be the only means to uncover certain non-emitting surveillance devices, such as hard-wired microphones, fibre optic microphones, passive resonators and inactive remote controlled “dormant” devices. These Passive Devices tend to be in the minority the most popular being the transmitters as described previously.
During the course of the physical search all telephone devices, electrical sockets; light switches, electrical equipment, furnishings, wall coverings, ceilings and floors are electronically examined.
Each telephone set is very closely physically examined, scanned for radio transmissions, and left off the hook for the duration of the Sweep to allow for sound activated transmitters. If the base unit or the handset shows signs of having been dismantled the device is stripped and the internal electronics minutely examined.
The nominated area will be swept by GSM near field handheld detection equipment to reveal the latest threat of GSM [cell phone technology] bugging devices.
Motor Vehicle Tracking and Listening Devices
Motor Vehicles are electronically scanned and fingertip searched using the same methods as previously explained.
The vehicle is elevated using jacks or ramps and the underside is minutely examined.
You will be issued with a full report on completion together with recommended security measures if applicable.
Your computers will be physically examined for “Key Logging” devices
Covert cameras can also be detected within the property.
